Hello everyone! We had a rough week last week, with two horrible accounts using our instance as a platform to spread hate, and an outage when we tried to upgrade to v4.5.0. Both of these really bothered us, so after a period of reflection, we've decided to make some changes. We want to focus on making mas.to the best instance we can for our existing users (many of whose donations keep us running!) and their friends. And so we're moving to an invitation-only model until further notice. (1/4)

 is going to be closing down in the near future. If you host a bot there and would like to migrate it to mas.to, you’re welcome! We do have one rule specific to bots: “All automated (bot) accounts must enable the bot flag in their account preferences, respect #nobot markers, and post as unlisted unless making less than one post per hour.†(The last bit is just to stop the public timeline getting flooded with bot posts.) â¤ï¸ #BotsinSpace
