Does #nostr have disappearing messages yet? If not, why not, and is it in the works? #asknostr
I understand that the Bitcoin network decentralized, however the code is maintained on Github, and therefore write-access to the codebase is very centralized. In what sense then is Bitcoin's development not centralized? Why does Bitcoin not have something like a DAO instead? #bitcoin #dao #asknostr
#NOSTR already allows sharing images and videos.
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could share livestreams too? #asknostr
Like, “Hey, this is what I’m currently working on.” <insert livestream of screen-sharing>
It seems like the main selling point that #nostr has over every other social network is #censorship resistance. People often liken NOSTR to #Bitcoin in this way. But if images in #damus (or any client) are uploaded to by default, then all a censor (such as China) needs to do is block that domain, and now all those images are broken. How is that censorship resistant? #asknostr

I think #NOSTR is great, but people who think it is going to take over and out-compete (or even be equal to) centralized platforms seem kind of deluded.
Most people just don’t care about “owning” their data. Most people don’t care about getting banned (because most people don’t get banned). They just care if it works or not. And for most people, for most purposes, the existing platforms continue to just work.
Censorship resistance is where NOSTR excels, but it’s a niche market, and maybe always will be.

What is the best #Nostr client for #iOS that allows easy anonymous posting. ie. Low friction to make “single post” accounts, that use a fresh/new/different npub for every post, or as often as desired? #asknostr
