Speaking from my heart I can say that for all the ups and downs, for all the Ange days and Palace days, for all the dry seasons, what I want most of all from this season is to finish above them down the road.
I know that (according to Bukayo Saka) this is their season to win the league, so that, more than anything else, makes THIS the season to burst their bubble.
I'll be watching the gap this season. After 10 games it's just 2 points.

I believe that his chances of surviving beyond May are dependent upon a significant improvement. 4 defeats in the first 9 league games is sacking form.
He needs to lose no more than 2 in the next 9 or he's toast.
Even that would be P18 L6
Defending is an art. Just sending players out isn't good enough, they need a tactical grounding, a plan.

I'm not saying anything new here, I'm not keen on defenders who need to be in the opposition half to be comfortable on the ball. We all enjoy that moment when the full back overlaps and fires the ball in but to do that and have an extra man up field you have to accept a less than brilliant defender.
Paolo Maldini was a great defender, worth his place purely for his defending but he was never going to fire crosses into the box.
You have to decide what you want.
