Valve just shipped a Zen 4/RDNA 3 Linux box with proper I/O, running SteamOS (Arch + KDE) out of the box. No kernel compiling. No bespoke scripts. It just works.
For the price of a decent Pi kit, you get desktop-class x86 power. Bitcoin nodes, transcoding, mini-servers – no longer a "project," just a native capability.
The Pi's ARM architecture can't compete for serious workloads. Valve just inserted a high-power FOSS machine into millions of homes.
The $35 computer's reign as the Linux default is ending.
