The irony of the hypocrisy in recent "geo-political" talk is observed. Any Muslim knows that destruction of houses of worship is haram and any secular person understands this as a violation of both international law and human rights. What we see in Iran is fundamentally different to what is happening in America with ICE. Both can meet the definition of internationally backed terrorism. But what is happening in Iran - and what is sadly being cheered on my many religious people, including some Muslims - is an assault against Islam itself.
