When the @npub1ppfe...ynm7 says "Verónica García is a transgender athlete," what they mean is that he is a boy. They really want you to think he is a kind of girl. They really want you to think this is complicated. It isn't. Boys aren't girls. No boy has ever become a girl. Ever.

It's true. The law in California is that any man can access any female-only space. Cal. Civ. Code § 51(b): "All persons within the jurisdiction of this state are free and equal, and no matter what their sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship, primary language, or immigration status are entitled to the full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges, or services in all business establishments of every kind whatsoever." Cal. Civ. Code § 51(e)(6): "'Sex' includes, but is not limited to, pregnancy, childbirth, or medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth. 'Sex' also includes, but is not limited to, a person's gender. 'Gender' means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender expression. 'Gender expression' means a person's gender-related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth." This is literally the law in California. California friends, if you don't like it, get rid of it. Tell your lawmakers.

I had not heard that Rex Landy of @ManaWāhineKōrero had been arrested and is facing charges under the New Zealand "Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015." The stated purposes of that law are to: "(a) deter, prevent, and mitigate harm caused to individuals by digital communications; and (b) provide victims of harmful digital communications with a quick and efficient means of redress." The law defines "harm" to mean "serious emotional distress" and states that "A digital communication should not denigrate an individual by reason of his or her colour, race, ethnic or national origins, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability." Rex fights for the sex-based rights of women and girls. If you read the @REDUXX article, you'll learn all about what she posted on social media, which is alleged to have caused a man named Daniel Johnston, who "identifies as female” and refers to himself by the name “Caitlin Spice,” "serious emotional distress." You'll also learn all about the vile things Johnston has himself posted on social media. Her next court date is December 16 and she faces three months in jail or a $50,000 fine.
