I got into Bitcoin so I could ignore macro. Didn’t work lol.

There were massive turnouts for this weekend’s first signing events for Alberta’s petition to force a referendum vote for the province’s separation from Canada. This report warms my heart. We are easily going to blow past the 177,000 signature requirement to force the referendum. I haven’t felt a sense of hope and energy like this in this place since the trucker protests. There’s a lot of entrenched power in Canada that are going to fight this tooth and nail. I am certain the “dirty pool” tactics on the part of Canada’s national news media like CBC @npub1xkjj...2mz9 , CTV, Global, and the Federal Government are about to ramp up in earnest. Just like they did during Covid, to squash dissent. There are going to be attempts to stop the separation referendum vote by interrupting it with an early provincial election. Lawsuits. Bought and paid for judges. Illegal detentions. Defamation of the Alberta Prosperity Project organizers. Divide and conquer strategies. Debanking. The FUD will be strong. If this initiative fails through legal wrangling and political maneuvering once we achieve a clear majority vote on separation, plan B is going to be a little less pleasant. Does anyone have contact with Dan and Josh from the former Blue Collar Bitcoin pod? I miss that show. They went dark over a year ago. I didn’t know if maybe they caught some heat from the firefighter’s union or the department for some of their content or what the deal was. They had great guests and great takes on Bitcoin, markets and self custody. Maybe Dom Bei knows. But I don’t think he’s on Nostr. #asknostr
