Reuters reports that Israel was placed on high alert during weekend security consultations amid the possibility of U.S. intervention, according to three Israeli sources. An Israeli military official said the protests are an internal Iranian matter but confirmed the Israeli military is closely monitoring developments and is prepared to respond with force if necessary.
