Germany is set to submit over 60 military procurement proposals for parliamentary approval by year’s end, aiming to rebuild the Bundeswehr into a force comparable to its Cold War strength in the 1980s. According to Bloomberg, the initiative is part of a broader effort to reestablish Germany as Europe’s largest and most capable conventional army. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius outlined the initial phase of the plan to lawmakers on Monday, which includes acquiring 5,000 Boxer armored fighting vehicles, 3,500 Patria XA-300 armored personnel carriers, and at least 20 Eurofighter Typhoons from Airbus. To support these efforts, the German Cabinet approved a long-term draft budget on Wednesday that would nearly double defense spending, raising it by up to €162 billion ($189 billion) by 2029. The 2026 budget proposal also allocates up to €8.5 billion ($9.7 billion) for military aid to Ukraine. image

However, as they begin to subdue the terrorist, bystanders appear and try to interfere. Europe, overall, is truly unprepared to confront Islamist terrorism.
