A massive cloud of smoke seen rising from the port of Bandar Abbas in Southern Iran, following this morning’s explosion which according to Iranian sources is believed to have been caused by an out-of-control fire coming in contact with a single and/or several chemicals being improperly stored by Iranian Port Authorities. The chemicals which the fire came in contact with are believed to have either been a high-explosive fertilizer like ammonium nitrate and/or a compound used in the production of solid rocket fuel such as sodium perchlorate, both of which are known to come through the port of Bandar Abbas via China.
Despite claims earlier today by U.S. President Donald J. Trump that he has been in contact with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding trade negotiations, and that active talks were ongoing between China and the United States; the Chinese Foreign Ministry denies that such talks have taken place, with Spokesman Guo Jiakun adding, “China and the U.S. have not held consultations or negotiations on the issue of tariffs. The United States should not confuse the public.”
