10+ years as a loyal CitizenM customer, staying with them every second week for the past three years, all down the drain after the Marriott acquisition. My CitizenM account is gone. My 20+ bookings until July next year are still valid but don’t appear in my Marriott account. I can’t modify or cancel them. Support can’t link the bookings to my Marriott account because a credit card is missing, but I can’t add one because I can’t access the bookings. CitizenM was great. Marriott is a shitshow.
With the new AlarmKit from #WWDC25, I’m building Alarmageddon, the alarm app my girlfriend with ADHD wanted for years: one that continuously alarms you of tasks. We call the alarms "task alarms". They’ll keep pestering you until you open the app and mark the task as done.
As we head into #WWDC25, be enthusiastic about the new features and APIs you can take advantage of in your projects 🚀 …but also remember to be skeptical. Apple’s track record of shipping what they promise hasn’t been great lately, so don’t stress over anything that doesn’t show up in the first beta or two. Deal with it when, and if, it becomes available.
