Ma’am do you have any idea what trans exclusive legislation has done to the incarcerated female population? The broad, non definitive language used in trans focused legislation has allowed any incarcerated male individual to self ID and transfer to women's prison without any other requirements. No hormone replacement, no gender reassignment surgery, no diagnosis of gender dysphoria is needed. A simple self declaration. One's criminal history, sexual orientation, or physical attributes CANNOT be reason for denying a request to transfer. That means a bisexual, man with a penis and a history of violence against women can be housed in cells with women now. If this is news to you, l urge you to please check on the prisoners in your state. The incarcerated trans community is being used as a vessel to gain access to a vast victim pool by predatory men. Because of the rights and privileges trans identified prisoners now exclusively have they are able to wield power over the female population and the staff who are all in fear of more lawsuits. Trans ideology impacts this discarded sector of society in ways you could never imagine. Women, girls, half of your constituency could greatly benefit from some of the passion and dedication you have in defending the trans community. We need elected officials who equally value our lives and believe we should all have access to the most basic human rights. We need women who care about women, too. I’m sharing this as a formerly incarcerated survivor of just about every kind of abuse you can imagine who is deeply concerned about the unnecessary political polarization of human rights issues. Someone is going to have to put their pride and party to the side to cross the aisle take the first step in unifying our nation. Are you willing to take that first step and set the example for the rest of our elected officials to follow?
