in his autobiography, one member of ICP describes an incident from his childhood that informed his own spiritual anthropology - that is, the nature of man in this particular lifetime. when he was a kid, he and his brother would catch bugs. one time they caught a large butterfly. https://hell.twtr.plus/media/4dc9a68d02564fecfab3e8055c28e55d25d44d83cfbd8688b9c46596c5a7103f.file
as absurd as that sounds, its important to consider that folk religion is never top down, and its almost never intentional. “the folk” don’t set out to articulate or encode their intuitive beliefs about life into anything. they just do it. it just happens via the life process.
whether art is good or not is subjective. what can be objective are categories, if you define them. this all means that this, what you see in the image below, is in some sense a spiritual phenomenon. it has an aspect of folk religion: an ethics, a cosmology, and a mythology: https://hell.twtr.plus/media/78739971648407b20d549a1bb52598724f940b5dd9a9568e33a4c86f5a642e6b.file

i am counting this as fan art, really good.
you can really eternally roast someone. samuel beckett supposedly noticed and wrote that T. Eliot, as in T. S. Eliot, is toilet spelled backwards. his name is actually an anagram of "toilets". genuinely one of the all time best poets and i think about this every time i see it.
