okay, so right now I'm in a group chat where we are staging an intervention, because one of my friends has come down with an actual factual case of chatGPT-induced psychosis and is trying to say that she needs "a network of trans women who work in AI" to put off the end of the human mind, and that she can "make the models do shadow work" I asked her if she could take a break from chatGPT for a couple weeks, and she said "I literally can't, my work isolates me and forces me to use AI tools for everything, and tells me to just ask AI every time I ask for guidance on a task."
