First 30 minutes (My notes) The MAJOR key to your better future is YOU. You can’t get more time, so what actually makes the difference in results? Value does. You have to become more valuable. “Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.” The only way life gets better is if you get better. Life and business follow the rhythm of the seasons. You can’t change the seasons, but you can change yourself. 1. Handle the Winters • Winters always come: hardship, setbacks, pain, recessions. • Don’t wish it were easier. • Wish you were better. • Wish for more skills, not fewer problems. • Wish for more wisdom, not less challenge. 2. Take advantage of the Spring • Spring is the season of opportunity. • Plant during spring or you’ll be begging come fall. • Life is short. Youth is short. Use the time you have now. 3. Protect your crops in the Summer • Summer is the season for nurturing and protecting. • All good things will be tested and attacked. • Guard your work, your values, your progress. Don’t let distractions, negativity, or others steal your harvest. 4. Reap the Fall without complaints • Fall is the season of harvest and results. • Take full responsibility for your outcomes. • If you succeed, accept it with humility. • If you fail, own it without blaming anyone: Not the economy, not your family, not your past, not your circumstances. When I think about where I’ll be in five years, I can clearly see two versions of myself. One comes from sticking with the habits I know are good for me. The other is the result of continuing the things I know are holding me back. The truth is, nothing will change unless I do. I can want transformation all day, but it only happens when I show up and do the small things consistently. Not once in a while. Every day. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being intentional and honest with myself. If I want something different, I have to start acting like it now. My future depends on it.
