vertical and horizontal axis:
The surface/horizontal meaning is immediate news (USA disaster)
and a nod to William Carlos Williams, via vertical axis, is a literary allusion.
A battered black box has its wabi-sabi of wear and tear, and poignancy,
and yet vital importance.
Yugen: A mystery, not yet solved, perhaps never fully.
