Pet update: I signed up to foster troubled cats at the local animal shelter. They got a stray black cat in. 4-5 year old male, and to their knowledge he has been stray his entire life. I went to see him today to see if I wanted to foster him. He bit me twice and clawed me until he drew blood. By the end of the visit he was taking treats from my hand and letting me pet him. Great success
