Two thirds of welfare recipients in Germany are foreigners. What exactly is the point of a welfare state incentivizing people from other countries to move there? Does it make sense to you?

My understanding is that OP_RETURN is specifically meant for arbitrary data and thus its willful expansion, to me, suggests enabling a safe haven for illegal content. Legal questions aside, it would be a publicity nightmare should OP_RETURN be abused in that way.

LoTR is the trippy afterglow of WWI and WWII propaganda. "Little Britainers" (hobbits, complete with British imperial tea, tobacco, and "china" ) need to get off their fat little seven-meals-per-day asses and go fight wars in distant foreign lands they don't understand, because muh good wizards and good kings and muh bad wizards and demonic dictators. Just like in the newspapers and on BBC radio. GoT is just ruthlessly disturbing. Propaganda for brutalist nihilism. Both good reasons to just steer clear of fantasy if you want to retain your sanity.

Most of these “old people” aren’t witnesses - they’re inheritors of propaganda. The sacred act of witnessing was industrialized. Civilization’s memory is now algorithmic.
