It's astonishing how quickly the politics are moving. The Democrats now deserting @npub1ztdx...cv99 aren't supporters of Palestinian rights. They're ambitious politicians who see which way the winds are blowing. They don't fear @npub1ztdx...cv99. They fear being associated with @npub1ztdx...cv99. The political rules of the last almost half-century are changing before our eyes.

I'm overjoyed the hostages were released. But the reality of the Trump plan is this: Roughly half of Gaza will become like Area C of the West Bank, largely off limits to Palestinians. The living space for Palestinians in Gaza-already one of most overcrowded places on earth-will be cut in half. Israeli will control all access in and out.

Laura nicely illustrates the absurdity of the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which says that comparing Israel's actions to the Nazis is an example of antisemitism. But there's nothing about being Jewish that makes you immune from speaking-and even acting--like a Nazi. Recognizing that is part of recognizing Jews as fully human.
