The event will be hosted at Zollhof (). We are now preparing the call for participation and the website, and will let you know about any updates. βž”βž”βž” Venue candidates for the Libre Graphics Meeting 2026 After the LGM 2025 in Nuremberg, we went home with a couple of "vague" proposals for hosting next year's LGM. Because of the short preparation period, Lasse was asked if he would agree to organize a second LGM in Nuremberg next year. He accepted to consider it. August 20th was the soft deadline for proposing a candidature and during the bi-weekly LGM online meetings, the only concrete proposal we had, was the one for a second LGM in Nuremberg. We are now asking the community to vote for this proposal, cheer for it, and/or raise your concerns: then join and have small online LGM party on September 3rd: * * irc:irc.libera.chat/#lgm Heads up: as soon as this decision is settled, we'll start the process for finding our 2027 location. #LibreGraphicsMeeting #lgm #lgm26

The Keynote Will NOT Go Forward Due to concerns from the LGM community, the planned keynote with Dr. Richard Stallman is cancelled. The announcement made many people angry and upset, and anger and division are not what LGM is about. Public debate was one of the factors that led to this decision. The discussion can be read here: LGM is committed to being an inclusive and safe venue for members of the Libre Graphics community, and we stand by the commitments to safety outlined by our Code of Conduct. Personal Note of the Organizer: I’ll be welcoming everyone seeking a conversation with me about the topic. – Lasse
