Pulp Society on Instagram: "With the summer cozying up to the monsoons, Pulp Society is very excited to slide into the second part of our summer programming with ‘Paper and Play’, an exhibition/ library/ bookshop/ hang out zone with games, zines, magazines, toys, and books! Conceived as a seasonal hangout during the summer lull, Paper and Play can be seen as a refuge from the Delhi heat, with industrial air conditioning, and balmy books! We use this opportunity to invite a brand new audience into the gallery, and the art world. We also create this platform as a library, and book shop for all material on South Asian art and culture, as that is sparingly available to the larger audience. This was created when our curator Priyanshi went looking for a few books, and found that the only way to get them was through her friends who wrote them! This edition, we have some really exciting practitioners showcasing ranges from rugs, furniture, to stationary; adding flavour to our platter! To open our doors wider, we have an Open Call via Instagram for book/ zine based practices, and the received works were part of a large reading table at the show. We’re excited to continue the fervour, and community we’ve built so far; so come on in, and discover some book/zine magic!
