🌊 white water rafting in Zambia, one of the world's best rapids (did we flip? yes! did I think I was going to die? also yes)
🦍 seeing the mountain gorillas in Uganda, it was UNREAL how close we were - we could almost touch them!
🦁 sleeping to the sounds of lions roaring in Botswana, our first camping safari - you're literally sleeping in the middle of the national park, no fences, NOTHING!
🦏 trekking by foot at the Rhino sanctuary in Uganda (quiz: why are white rhinos called white rhinos even though they’re not white?)
🖋️ got our first tattoos in Malawi together!
🚤 an adrenaline-packed first (and possibly last) pencil duck ride in South Africa (google it)
🍳 eating fried plantain and eggs for breakfast by the world's most powerful waterfalls in Uganda, literally a dream!
