I didnât grow up with gentle parenting. So I had to figure it out from scratch.
Thatâs why I wrote the book Parenting Forwardâfor every parent trying to break the cycle without a blueprint.
Iâve been editing the old-school wayâpages printed, chapters laid out all over the table, pen in hand. Itâs messy and slow and exactly how I need to do this part.
The book is almost done.
And soon, Iâll be đĽ looking for beta readers.
If you're a parent whoâs doing the hard, quiet work of healing while raising little onesâyouâre exactly who I had in mind.
Stay tuned. đ
(And if you're already raising your hand to be an early readerâdrop a comment or send me a message. Iâd love that.)

With an MBA from Yale and a rich, 20-year journey of homeschooling four incredible children, my career path took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn into the heart of the Bitcoin universe. It was through my husband's innovative game, HODL UP, that I first stepped into the Bitcoin space, sparking a curiosity that quickly turned into a passionate pursuit.
Traveling and engaging with diverse communities unveiled a pressing need: to bring Bitcoin knowledge to more women, to make it accessible, relatable, and empowering. This realization was the birthplace of the Orange Hatter Podcast. Through this platform, I share the untold stories of everyday womenâthose you meet at the grocery store or live next door. These narratives highlight how Bitcoin provides solutions to real-life problems, embodying the idea that if Bitcoin can be useful to one woman, it could be beneficial to all.
My mission is simple yet profound: to demystify Bitcoin for women, showing its practicality and potential to tra
đ Character + Bitcoin â Better World
Before you orange-pill your kid, steel their spine.
Because the moment you tell them about Bitcoin, you set them apart.
Thatâs the message I had the honor of sharing this week at Bitcoin Alaskaâa gathering of minds and hearts that left me deeply inspired and incredibly grateful.
Many Bitcoiners feel the urgency to teach kids about Bitcoin by helping them set up a wallet and send their first sats.
But I believe character is the first hardware wallet we should set up for our kidsâbecause itâs cold storage for courage, kindness, honesty, and grit.
⨠With strong character, kids can resist social hacking, get-rich-quick schemes, and conformity pressure.
⨠With a foundation of inner strength, when our kids finally hold Bitcoin, they wonât use it to run away from the worldâtheyâll use it to build something better.
Because fiat may be broken. And Bitcoin may be better.
But itâs still just a tool.
And đĄ every tool reflects the hand that holds it.
𧥠Letâs raise kids who not only understand the power of Bitcoin, but are also ready to use it with wisdom and virtue.
The Bitcoin Alaska conference was truly one of a kind.
Not only did Bitcoiners come together to share our passion for freedom techâbut we did it while surrounded by breathtaking wild Alaska! We saw
đ Glaciers and waterfalls,
đ Whales, seals, and bald eagles in their natural habitat, and ate
đ˝ď¸ Salmon⌠fresh out of the water and onto our plates!
đś And we had the profound privilege of learning about the culture of the Indigenous Tlingit peopleâeven rowing together in one of their traditional canoes.
What an incredible privilege to have been part of this event!
Huge thanks to the amazing organizers and volunteers of the Bitcoin Alaska teamâyou created something truly unforgettable!

đ¨ What do food, health, and money all have in common?
They're all being shaped by a broken systemâand women across the globe are waking up to it. đ§ľđ
This week, we kicked off our first Orange Hatter Reading Session on Fiat Food by Matthew Lysiak and @Saifedean Ammous .
Women signed from all of the world including the U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Dubai.
Different backgrounds.
Different life stories.
Same rising concern:
The system is not workingâfor our families, our bodies, or our futures.
Hereâs what we unpacked:
1ď¸âŁ A small group of unelected officials, central bankers, and politicians have made decisions that affect millionsâwithout asking for consent.
Theyâve inflated the money supply, propped up broken food systems, and labeled factory-made ingredients as âsafe.â
Families are left to pick up the pieces.
2ď¸âŁ The government doesnât need to raise your taxes to take your money.
They just print more.
More dollars in circulation = less value for each one.
Thatâs why food, gas, and medicine feel more expensive.
Youâre not just paying in cashâyouâre paying through loss of purchasing power.
3ď¸âŁ Even if you donât homeschool, you can still lead your kids through truth.
You can shape what they notice.
You can guide the questions they ask.
And you can teach them to spot the system for what it is.
No permission slip required.
4ď¸âŁ Thinking differently is HARD.
Itâs lonely.
Itâs uncomfortable.
But itâs also necessary.
If we donât ask questions, who will?
If we donât prepare our families, who will?
Weâre building a community where women can think out loud, connect the dots, and lead from a place of truth + strength.
Weâre not looking for permission.
Weâre not waiting for the world to fix itself.
Weâre choosing to see clearlyâand act boldly.

đĄ Our next Orange Hatter Reading Session is Monday.
đĄ Weâre just getting started.

Whatâs Really in Your Breakfast Bowl?Â
Last week at our Orange Hatter meeting, we dug into Chapters 2 and 3 of Fiat Food by
Matthew Lydian
  and
@Saifedean Ammous
.
Let me just sayâwhat we learned about the history of cornflakes completely blew our minds.
Did you know that the Kellogg cereal many of us grew up associating with a "healthy breakfast" was originally designed as a purposefully bland food meant to curb carnal desires? I know, it sounds crazy.
Hereâs the story:
John Harvey Kellogg, a devout Seventh-Day Adventist, and others within the movement believed that red meat was the root cause of carnal desires, including the urge to masturbate.
Their solution? A vegetarian, tasteless diet to suppress these urges.
The extent of their beliefs included horrific measures, like the mutilation of children's bodies and caging their sexual organs.
Over decades, the Adventists infiltrated government systems and schools under the guise of "diet and nutrition education," fundamentally shaping U.S. food policies to reflect their vision of an anti-masturbatorial vegetarian utopia.
This whole thing isnât just a bizarre piece of historyâitâs a huge lesson in the power of influence and especially in the power of money.
None of us knew the cereal lining grocery store shelves was born of religious zealotry aimed at controlling human desires.
Itâs a jaw-dropping example of how marketing and money can rewrite the narrative of a product and reshape public perception on a massive scale.
Think about it: with a smart marketing campaign, an entire nation was convinced to embrace a food product with a purpose most of us would never have imagined.
So, what else donât we know about the food we eat?
If youâre curious, letâs keep the conversation going.

This Wednesday night at 8:30 PM EST, weâll be diving into the next chapters.

đĄđHelping Your Wife See the Value of Bitcoin
Bitcoiner husbands, have you been struggling to help your wife understand the value of Bitcoin?
Youâre not aloneâthis conversation can be tough, especially when it feels like youâre speaking two different languages.
Hereâs the winning combination thatâs worked for so many families:
1ď¸âŁ Play HODL UP together as a family.
This isnât just a gameâitâs a fun, hands-on way to help your wife and kids grasp the big picture of Bitcoin without getting bogged down by fiat currency conversion rates or charts.
Hereâs what one husband shared about his experience:
**"The first few minutes were rough to play with my wife and two kids under 11. But after the first halving, the light switch turned on in ALL OF THEM.
It was a moment I am still struggling to describeâI started tearing up because they seemed to get it. Especially my youngest, who asked in a frustrated way why the Bitcoin reward wasnât more.
I was so impressed by how much they learned by the time we wrapped up the game. My wife was even more interested in our personal cold storage strategy. My kids better understood deflation and value as well. "**
2ď¸âŁ Invite her to the Orange Hatter Womenâs Reading Club.
In this cozy, women-led space, sheâll find a supportive community to ask honest questions, share insights, and discover the why behind Bitcoinâon her own terms.
