I feel lucky as hell that I can work on freedom tech full time. Wouldnβt be here without yβall sharing the same vision of a better future where individuals are in control of their data online. There is so much more cool tech to build. Imagine if every phone was also a relay. This is the direction that damus is moving in. So many possibilities are unlocked after this. Thanks everyone who has ever zapped damus, it keeps us moving forward π

I wouldn't want to be working for anything else anyway. And I refused to! Even if Indra's only sponsor became estranged or unable to help, I'd still be looking for a way to get it finished and into people's hands.
You know, some people would paint a picture like we are gun makers rubbing our hands about giving guns to children or something.
Thank God that average joe doesn't like that and when they all wake up from the illusion they have been programmed to see, they are gonna be furious.
We are on the right side of history, never forget that. Freedom is a prerequisite to longevity.
Thank you so much for your hard work. Itβs very appreciated. Glad to be able to use the freedom tools youβre building for all of us. π«π«
"...imagine if every phone was a relay..."
That is a massive step forward and brings so many possibilities.
great idea. in the meanwhile i'm running my personal nostr_rs_relay instance accessible as #tor hidden service on my #android phone in #nix-on-droid. @primal webapp works in tor browser and with small about:config tweak can connect to it.
Beautiful! Sounds like you've got it figured out already!
I! I feel lucky for knowing that people like you and everyone else on Nostr exist... securing my liberties and freedom in a field I have loved since conception.
Don't. Fucking. Stop.
P.S. @jb55 Getting a LNURL error when trying to zap right now.
Keep up the good work! Tons of respect!
I appreciate you will @jb55! It is rewarding working on freedom tech. Being in a community of like mind and participating / contributing together to common objective of a freedom loving future.ποΈ With gratitude π»
That little bit about every phone being a relay reminds me of Minima.
Nostr phone relays may actually work if they don't consume much memory, given the unnecessary limitations on phone storage options nowadays.
Nice to see this. Thanks
But how are TwiXter & Fascistbook going to earn all that money if we're not there for them to sell our data? Gosh
mate - you know how mind blowing this has been for me. I cant thank you enough for all the hard work you have all put into this...
its totally possible to beam the signals through the clouds - literally no infrastructure needed ZERO... no idea how but its doable

Imo desktops can handle current traffic and CPU load but when things get heavier it may not be a good idea..
youβre thinking about phone relays the wrong way. They donβt need to handle heavy traffic. They are local caches with the ability to sync with remote relays efficiently.
Like your vision and your brave contribution! Thank you for your work. Is it already possible to use my 2nd mobile - which is just sitting around - as a relay? Would not mind to install a specific OS, also. Thank you :)
P2P is the future
Absolument
"freedom tech" is the most righteous cause I can think of

Agree on personal relays, they full unlock the Gossip model / NIP-65 power.

Iβm new here. This is really cool.
We need a merger of mobile and general purpose completing. Example: I'm sensitive to emf, but it's hard to find phones that support Ethernet adaptors. My oneplus 7 android does.
