Business idea: build a plug-and-play device that anyone can put on their roof that monitors the sky 24/7, one wide-angle lens for movement detection, one zoom lens on a swivel that locks on target & records. Add auto-upload, infrared, stabilization, etc. Let's call it Rooftop Seti. I bet loads of people would buy it.

there is/was a project in the #ufo community that was trying to do exactly that... SkyHub I think? Not sure if they're active anymore Avi Loeb at Harvard also talked about something similar... "Ring Camera" but for the skies 😄
