I view being polite to the chat bot a bit like religion.
It doesn’t really cost much to broadly follow what you need to do to get into heaven / paradise or whatever and it generally conforms with my personal moral values so on the off chance it’s a real thing it’s worth being a good person.
Likewise it doesn’t cost much to be polite so why not do it on the off chance it matters.

Absolutely 😂😂😂 I have not heard this before, but it's hilarious. Sometimes I have caught myself saying please and thank you to Google, but that's just out of habit. I would never go out of my way to please AI on the off chance it wants to kill me 😂
