Question: Do people actually want me to keep working on #Nostr apps here or should I just quit?

Yes. Hivetalk is great
My app is also not there even though I asked karnage a few times, and got no answer, there are definitely outsider devs on Nostr, that are not part of the cool kids, idgaf anymore, I will just keep doing my things.
The 'cool kids' hold open office sessions at @npub18zsu...8aap though, where you can confront them directly out in the open!
And to top off the irony, they do it on hivetalk😱
on my calendar for next time, if i can get up that early 😅

Right now, I'm trying to figure out what nips i need to make a "full" integration, and its getting a bit tricky here when the nips are constantly changing, and I'm not 100% full time into the protocol discussion cuz this isn't my full time job.
its difficult to build when the sand is constantly shifting under.
I'm okay with waiting until the dust settles and the definitions are clear, which they aren't right now. Some apps do "full" integration but they are also building the spec, which gives them the advantage to declare what is correct vs is not correct. If we're not defining the spec then its like, how do you even know what is or what isn't.
Either way I am not going to cry about it anymore. But this is something to think about as you go to FOSDEM how things are
As long as people keep the zaps coming and we cover the costs, I'll keep it going. If everyone wants to use it, GREAT!! If you don't, and I better put time elsewhere. Not going to get grants or vc, sorry. this is not how I fly for a pet project. I prefer running self-sovereign small businesses, and won't bow to an overlord.
nostr was only supposed to be side thing which has blown up to be much bigger than intended, for better or worse 😅 I was supposed to be spending more time on BTC/LN.... now this LOL

I fully expect Nostr to obsolete phone numbers and expect a standard for clients to use for people to call their peers/follows

I've seen this before in other circles ... the hierarchy, notoriety, ego, power struggles ... sad. Hopefully it'll all be overcome for the good of the concept and user base. 🤞
