assuming this poll wasn't fudged most people ( including republicans ) support price controls, which is basically communism. as somebody born in USSR i can tell you this will only lead to empty shelves, and ultimately stunting among children due to a diet of ( subsidized ) bread and water. because we all know they won't subsidize meat or eggs, which is what children need to develop. we are looking at a future where 90% of people are both diabetic and malnourished. @Lyn Alden
