is vaginal discharge supposed to be brown from colon
vaginoplasty?
"I'm about a year and a half post op and on typing this I just realised I have another question about it besides the title. apart from my discharge being brown and occasionally having a strange odor, very seldomly it will also not discharge for a while as if it's blocked then it all comes out looking dryer and alot thicker. is this dehydration? will probiotic get my discharge to a clearer colour with a different smell like in a natal vagina or do all colon vaginoplasty discharge be brown?
I dont know if it's infection either because I have no pain at all and it had this colour from the surgery "

"I know it is normal, but I am wondering what is its purpose and why not everyone seem to have discharge. For me, it
has been such an inconsistent thing. I had a lot of it in the first two weeks, then a ton of it during the trip back home, then nothing for the first week home, then it started again, but different.
From that moment on I had two kinds of discharge. A nearly odorless one that comes out from the clitoral area and sometimes from the canal during the everyday life. It is not a lot and it takes a while to significantly dirty a pad. The other one smells really bad and it comes out during dilation. I am thinking it might smell bad because of residual lube in the canal that stays there resting for hours, and I am so tempted to douche but Chett nurses encouraged me not to.
I am conflicted.
At any rate, it has been almost two months since my surgery and I just woke up like 20 minutes ago to find a pad drenched in discharge. So I was left wondering its purpose. Is it a liquid my body produces to push out dirty stuff and dead cells and stuff from the surgical site? Discharge is the least of my concerns right now as long as it is doing something positive. Fuck dilation though."
