How can I clear my entire follow list? I want to start fresh and just follow active people

IIRC your list is just a kind 3 event. If you publish a new empty kind 3 event it should replace the old one.
Ehhh, but you don't get content from inactive people... 🙃

Are you saying that this is due to the sheer number of people you are following? Relays/apps are selective, or choking?
Or when you say active you think people who post almost daily, you don't want to follow people who post occasionally?
There is a tool to find inactive follows...

Delete your nostr then login with nsec again. This removes all your contacts and you can start following users a fresh.
I did just that a few weeks ago. Manually clicked unfollow one by one for nearly 2000 people that I followed. Started again at following zero. Slowly building back better 😬
Quite an eye opener to know that such a high percentage of my list simply aren't here anymore.
How do you know? They might be "read only" accounts?
Fair point but then following them would be somewhat pointless.
I just went through my list one by one a couple of weeks ago. Time consuming but felt good afterwards. POW!
I have an idea of making s client that:
- shows you who followed/unfollowed you the past week/month...
- shows you the inactive or least interacted among your follows
Least interacted with could be a nice feed
I'm active and not a bot. There aren't many like me these days.
