I remember them all well, and to complete the picture:
20 shillings = 1 pound
21 shillings, or 1 pound 1s = 1 Guinea
And good 'ol Groats (1 Groat was 4 old pennies, but was discontinued in 1856)
The old English monetary system was based on the Carolingian system which actually worked through large parts of Europe during the middle ages and was partly based on older roman denominations:
Pound = 12 shillings = 240 pennies
Shilling = 12 pennies
