Nostur in 2025 This was the 3rd year of building Nostur, there were 10 App Store releases and more than 75 TestFlight updates. Dear Fabian, It seems to me that you have been consistently shipping the highest impact releases of any nostr client with ruthless efficiency. I’m sure you listen to feedback and incorporate it into your roadmaps but I haven’t noticed you soliciting feature requests or spending too much time pandering to the random people who always want more on here. Yet, you seem to know the most important things to work on to get the best user experience. Nostur is an amazing piece of software, and I don’t know if it’s mostly you doing the work, but either way I would like to commend you for your leadership and judgement on pushing this project forward. I know that if you worked at a big tech company you would be compensated very nicely, so I hope too that your current arrangement gets you the compensation you deserve. So to summarize, I think you have an incredible talent and congratulations on a smashing 2025! Good luck in 2026, Tim

Thank you for you kind words Tim, I do build mostly things I want or need, things that seem obvious to me that I expect everyone would want also, so I consider myself the biggest Nostur "customer" but I do keep an open mind in case I am wrong, thats why I appreciate everyone sharing their experience with Nostur a lot. I hope I never have to go into the mode of throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. On Nostur itself, it's mostly me doing the work now but I do hope eventually others will also contribute to Nostur. This may be a bit my own fault because sometimes I want to get something working fast and clean things later, so the code ends up a bit rough or unfriendly for someone not familiar with the project. I have no compensation at the moment, but I did receive a year funding from OpenSats in 2023-2024 which I am grateful for. Right now I'm funding myself because I have not applied for a grant again (yet). Being an early bitcoiner does give me some breathing room, allowing me do this without pressure, even though in the end I still end up working on Nostur most of the time because its my passion, the ability to just take a break whenever I want gives me peace of mind. (No complaint against OpenSats, they were very flexible) nostr is something special, it needs to exist, so for me passing on big tech companies is worth it. Thanks again and have a great 2026! Fabian
