I think it was around this time 6 years ago I started seeing whispers of an outbreak in China on Twitter. Little did I know what would come of it. The only thing I think I miss about Twitter is the worldwide grassroots media from users. I hope nostr will reach that level one day. Whether out of necessity or opting out, I'm happy there is a protocol that allows users to post what they want. We all know the censorship that would happen if another bio-weapon were to be leaked.

Ok after a few days of working in Linux in my virtual box, some things I've noticed: LibreOffice spell checker is really odd, it thinks things like "incentivized" and "influencer" are not words. This is not a huge problem, but annoying as I'm already a bad speller and I don't need to be gaslit about it 🤣 CapLocks is going crazy! I wonder if it's related to the virtual box, but sometimes when I'm in the Linux environment it thinks that the CapLocks key is being toggled on and off constantly and won't let me do anything until I reboot. Otherwise in LibreOffice there's a lot of delay with switching between caps and lower case so that I seem to be using SpongeBob speak unless I slow my typing down a lot. I shall persevere 🫡 #linux

How to cook an enjoyable meal, as the French do: 1. Chop up mirepoix and some shallots. 2. Mix them in a stoneware pot, along with some herbes de Provence and a teaspoon of mustard. 3. Splash it with one cup red wine and one cup water. 4. Place the beef roast on top. 5. Cover the pot and bake in the oven at 250° C for an hour. 6. Sit down and drink the rest of the wine. I have no idea what the food ends up tasting like, but I guarantee that you will enjoy yourself.
