Seed phrases are powerful cryptographic primitives, but they are not, in and of themselves, self-custody. Bold statement… I’m not convinced a recovery model based on recovery contacts is self custody either. This is the primary reason I don’t use Bitkey.
Thanks for creating a seedless device, as well as inheritance and recovery contacts. People that don't like the device because it's seedless and screenless are not going to buy it, but for some strange reason, can't stop commenting about it. Go buy the overpriced coldcard Q and brag about it with your other friends that spend too much time interacting with a device that should rarely be used.
