Introducing version control in the Bitcoin Node app on umbrelOS.
Automatically switch to the latest available version of Bitcoin Core each time you update the app for the latest security fixes and bleeding edge features. Or stick to a specific version for rock-solid reliability.
Your Bitcoin Node app will continue to receive updates from the Umbrel App Store independently. And your Bitcoin Core version selection stays put until you change it.

No one runs Core now
Knots was outed as a grifter movement with bad intentions a while ago. You canβt divide the bitcoin network, sorry. Better luck next time.

How about install flow - will that install the most popular version, or the latest version? ;) that's what really matters.. because as more nodes come online they'll just default to latest version unless there's some way not to specify that - but they won't know regardless and of course will want the most recent version.

uninformed operators getting auto-update defaults is not better... even if there's a choice between auto-update or fixed.
This is cool!
But I want more! I need to be able to downgrade. E. g. lnbits updates can completely mess plugins and everything. Even if you have backup, you need to manually change container version.
Am I the only one?
