I disagree. It was poetic justice. The church murdered "heretics" for centuries, and even their own "desert fathers" turned against it and created Islam. The main schtick of Islam is being against idolatry - that's because the Roman church became idolatrous. If you don't believe me, look into the "iconoclasm" of around the 600's. You'll have to read between the lines because pretty much anything in English is going to tell it from the church's perspective.
None of the original Christians, Jews or even the pre-Jewish groups that developed the Genesis stories in the fertile crescent originating in Sumer were Arabs
.... so?
So they weren't their "desert fathers"
Do you know anything about this topic?
Google it. Orthodox desert fathers. Still a thing, and actually pretty awesome.
Do I need to be an austere religious scholar with a PhD in Islamic studies to post here?
No, but you could make this easier for others. See my other note
Egyptians didn't create Islam. Muhammad (from Southern Arabia) did
Did you look up desert fathers?
I didn't say anything about Egyptians.
Okay, good. Just beware - the Eastern Orthodox church is **_very_** dishonest about its own history. You will need to think critically to take this on.
what is this stuff about the desert fathers creating islam? send more info pls
Just call it an anonymous tip and see where it takes you.
