Chef's notes
This is my take on the espresso martini. If you wanted more drink, you could bump the ingredient quantities to the following, in which case I would omit the simple syrup:
- 2oz (60ml) Vodka
- 1oz (30ml) Espresso liqueur
Note: If you don't have simple syrup, you can simply add some sugar to the espresso while it is still hot!

Ingredients
- 1.5oz (45ml) Vodka
- 0.5oz (15ml) Espresso liqueur
- 1oz (30ml) Espresso, cooled
- (optional) 0.5oz (15ml) Simple syrup
- Ice
Directions
- Add several ice cubes to cocktail shaker
- Add ingredients to shaker
- Shake vigorously for circa 1 minute
- Strain into cocktail glass
- (Optional) Garnish with coffee beans
