Espresso Martini

A cocktail for the espresso and vodka lover, that seems to be ever-increasing in popularity!

Chef's notes

This is my take on the espresso martini. If you wanted more drink, you could bump the ingredient quantities to the following, in which case I would omit the simple syrup:

  • 2oz (60ml) Vodka
  • 1oz (30ml) Espresso liqueur

Note: If you don't have simple syrup, you can simply add some sugar to the espresso while it is still hot!

Ingredients

  • 1.5oz (45ml) Vodka
  • 0.5oz (15ml) Espresso liqueur
  • 1oz (30ml) Espresso, cooled
  • (optional) 0.5oz (15ml) Simple syrup
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Add several ice cubes to cocktail shaker
  2. Add ingredients to shaker
  3. Shake vigorously for circa 1 minute
  4. Strain into cocktail glass
  5. (Optional) Garnish with coffee beans
