Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill would kill over 830,000 jobs, increase pollution, and raise energy costs alone by as much as $400 a household. Fox News spews out misinformation all day, more “liberal” TV news doesn’t really cover this subject at all, and too many people get distracted by stuff that’s not going to impact them in any way whatsoever. American public approval used to surge after something like this to show either some real or fake patriotic support, then ebb when reality (and US deaths) roll in. That Trump has this level of disapproval now is a bad sign for him and a great one for sanity, because regardless of how you feel about the countries involved, he possesses no sanity or demonstrated ability to handle a complex situation. What if you held a ceasefire and nobody came? image
I have a long time acquaintance who grew up and lives in West Virginia and has lived there all his life. He’s a normal, voting Democrat but he knows a lot of Trump voters. He told me their main issues were “illegal immigration” and “trans sports”, neither of which are major happenings in WVa. But I don’t think he lied to me. Trump lied to them. A lot. Folks in WV think they don’t want Medicaid. They want jobs that pay. Trump promised them that, then stabbed them in the back with this instead. image
Sorry for the effect his policies have on the farming community, but at the same time paying attention to his actions and performance in his first administration would have told you everything you needed to know. ‘They quit after a few hours': Farmers admit they can't find American workers: https://www.rawstory.com/trump-farmers-2672410822/
Media shifting into W-era cheerleading for another Middle East war is a sight to behold. It’s all that’s on TV this morning. As if they're not sucking up enough to Trump already.
6 months in: another Middle East war. Another multi-trillion dollar tax cut for extremely rich people. Active duty military on the streets of Los Angeles. Vaccine skepticism. 10 million at risk of losing health insurance inside of a disaster of a bill. Grocery prices still going up. Media complicity. A Supreme Court continuing to make the worst decisions possible. Sorry, folks. Both parties aren’t the same and they never will be no matter how much that delusion makes you feel justified.
Trump's reference to “God” in his statement is a wave to his evangelical base, some of who believe war in the Middle East will bring about the Second Coming, the ascendency of Christianity, and the Rapture. It also gives him a convenient opportunity to try and convince people he’s ordained by god with his actions, which is dangerous and disgusting.
All if have for people like this at this point is fuck off. Trump Supporter Breaks Down After ICE Takes a Third of His Employees: 'Quite a Shock':
To recap the current situation: Obama cut a deal with Iran to limit their uranium enrichment. It worked. Trump withdrew us from that deal. Iran restarted its nuclear weapons program leading to the point they got close enough to an A bomb that the Israelis attacked. Also, Trump is not up to the task of handling this and it probably wouldn’t be happening if his incompetent ass and administration weren’t in the White House. If you're in the press and not connecting these simple dots, quit.
