Peace without justice, respect for human rights and dignity, without reparations and guarantees of non reeptition, is not sustainable. View quoted note →
They call it peace, but for the Palestinians, it risks to be Apartheid at its worst. All eyes must remain on Palestine. People of the world, do not look away now. As the legacy of Nelson Mandela reminds us, no one is free until everyone is free. View quoted note →
My last 3 UN reports (on genocide, its colonial origins and corporate complicity) are available in a book curated by Mandy Turner & @Dr. Lex Takkenberg with foreword by my illustrious predecessors Richard Falk, John Dugard, @Michael Lynk. 🔸Ebook free 🔸Paperback proceedings for UNRWA View quoted note →
As everyone talks about the 50 Israeli hostages held by Palestinian factions, Palestinian hostages continue to die in Israeli jails: Ahmad Khdeirat died in Negev prison, where he was held without charges since May 2024: the 78th Palestinian to die in Israeli custody since Oct7. View quoted note →

⚽️BREAKING⚽️Together with fellow UN Independent Experts, I call on @FIFA World Cup and @UEFA to suspend Israel from int'l football over the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. Reinstatement can come only when genocide is over, occupation is over, apartheid is over. View quoted note →
What does state recognition means to the people of Gaza right now? What Israeli occupation forces are inflicting on them is just ABOMINABLE and must be stopped. Whatever we do is late, but never too late while lives remain to be saved.
#UNGA states recognising Palestine while adding new conditions (demilitarise, censor schoolbooks, vet candidates) show little grasp of three basic facts: colonialism is over; self-determination is unconditional; doing this amid genocide suggests contempt for human dignity.
