We sold our first 40 liters of liquid soap 🧼 Last week Afan & Edith led the children at @Orphans of Uganda through their first commercial production of liquid soap! As one of our sustainability models, the children are learning how to make & SELL the soap to the community, I’m really proud that they sold their first 40 liters and will be making more tomorrow. The money made from these projects will reduce our dependency on donations while giving the children permanent life skills. We have more sustainability models to unlock this year & next year; This year 1. Commercial Liquid Soap (65% done) 2. Making Reusable Sanitary Towels(10%) 3. Maize Milling(20%) With a workforce of 113 children, we are ready to take on a big Liquid Soap order, please refer us. Buying from us is a better way to Donate 🧡

Getting visas & crossing airports as an Ugandan 🇺🇬 is draining and it’s funny am getting used to it. I get special security treatment & checks, my documents are verified by multiple people with laser scrutiny, I have to provide financial proof sometimes 😂 The origin of my passport automatically dictates my treatment! In trying to pay for a last minute flight online (Travala didn’t have the particular flight, would have used #Bitcoin), my personal & business bank cards were rejected, though I had more than enough fiat there. I only got to book through @Student of Bitcoin ’s American Express card & instantly got a verification call directly from the US 😆 - the gentleman asked if I was for real! It’s these small things that remind me of why #Bitcoin is important, especially the inbuilt financial isolation of the Majority South. #Bitcoin is identity blind🧡 Thanks @Plan ₿ Network for the chance to speak in El Salvador

Spent my day at @BitcoinLoxion with Thulisa & her amazing team! They are building a #Bitcoin circular economy in Khayelitsha Capetown. I loved learning that all the volunteers that work on the gardening, logos painting & the project works are paid in #Bitcoin which they can spend at the different local shops i.e ✅Siki’s Cafe ✅Lalie’s Glam Studio ✅Kareem’s Grocery Shop And others that I didn’t visit…. Thulisa drew inspiration from 2024’s Post @AdoptingBitcoinCapeTown trip to @BitcoinEkasi , She went on to go through the outstanding Bitcoin Dadaclass and is now changing her community in real time. I ensured to spend some sats at all the places we visited, if you are around Capetown - visit and get wowed.
