Rupert Lowe MP
I want British foreign policy to unapologetically put British interests first. Every time, all the time.
If it ultimately benefits the British people, good. Let’s back it.
If not? No. Realpolitik.
British interests first, above all else. Just as the Americans do. Just as the Chinese do.
We haven’t done that for a very long time, and we need to start now.
The world has many problems, but we’ve got enough of them to deal with in Britain. That’s our priority. Our only priority.
Foreign policy decisions should be made with one group of people in mind - the British. A total overhaul of the current groupthink in Whitehall. Our interests first - issue by issue.
We should make no apologies for thinking, and acting, like that.
