Afghan man Sultani Bakatash, 28, has been charged with two counts of rape of a girl aged 14, one count of sexual assault, & one count of assault by penetration. I replied politely: ‘I understand you’ve been told that but I am telling you they are wrong, and it is important you should know it isn’t.’ I ventured into the crowd and grabbed some short interviews with people who dared put their heads above the parapet to find out why they had come.
