opening any thread about the [itch.io](https://itch.io ) thing teleports you to one of the craziest universes imaginable. just wild stuff in all these threads.
not even 3 years ago reddit closed their somewhat open network a bit by entirely getting rid of third party apps, tools, etc. unless developers paid insane amounts of money. now everyone is acting surprised that reddit is making their mostly closed network more closed for more money

in case people are wondering, this isn’t entirely a shit post. there’s a fundamental problem with the way people discredit what is being developed right now in the AI world as even possibly being the beginnings of intelligence - particularly since we don’t understand our own intelligence.
