another thing by the way: even if you turn off notifications later, the app is still going to be sending push notification payloads to apple! when you turn off notifications, apple doesn't even tell the app that your push notification token is expired for a period of up to 30 days.

lots of people mad at apple here, but the fact of the matter is that if youβre using an app where you expect your communications to be private but apple is able to read the plaintext contents of the notification then your qualms should be with the app, not apple
