The media's infatuation with horse race politics — the "will this help or hurt at the polls? — over "is this authoritarian nonsense" has got to be one of the worst aspects of modern media.

Finally wrote something responding to that silly piece from a few weeks ago about why everyone should stay on X (they still wanted to call it Twitter, but Twitter is dead).
You can stay in the system designed to hold you back, or you can be a part of building something better. It's time to build.

So the site that was building a database of 60k+ people it "blamed" for the murder of Kirk (including many who simply quoted Kirk's own words) has "rebranded" and claims its new mission is "we track statistics on the prevalence of political extremism."
