Q: Are you the first in your family or friend group to get into Bitcoin? If not, how far down the chain are you (2nd, 3rd, etc.)? Have others you know irl been joining you on the journey? I’m curious about adoption network effects. In my case, video gamer friends from other countries (whom I’ve never met irl) convinced me to mine a little a few years back. It took a couple of years for me to actually take a serious look at bitcoin. A few of my family started after a 3-4 years of tolerating me poking. A few more this past couple of years A small cohort of friends joined in. Probably about a dozen have taken to bitcoin at my suggestion I field a lot of questions, a couple of times we’ve hosted on-boarding parties at my home. Most still think I’m crazy.
