In much of the US, this is the last week to register to vote in the US election in November. Do not miss your opportunity (and if you are registered, to check your registration to make sure it is still valid). Get registered and encourage everyone you know to register. Because I am a clumsy-ass dork, I recently dropped my Macbook from about a height of two feet while it was open. It didn't experience any loss of function or any major damage, but the lid so bent in such a way that now one edge is open a millimeter or two even when fully closed. This bugs me and also invites dust intrusion and further damage. Solution: a Big Damn Rubber Band, which clamps it down nicely. Stupid of me to have dropped it, but at least I'm smart enough to have an easy fix.
