I thought this piece in La Repubblica was good on what’s truly at stake as Trump upends world order: “this world that ridicules our values.” The idea there is a more just world to work towards is over, per Trump et al. Will young people even think values matter?

This weekend, I watched the Spanish miniseries “Anatomía de un instante”/“Anatomy of a moment” based on the book by Javier Cercas, though I didn’t know of the book when the show was recommended to me. I’ll have to read it. Writing in English although show in Spanish as I imagine it’s less known to non-Spaniards. I found it really interesting. It’s based on the period when Franco dies and the few years after as Spain tries to establish a democracy, though some opposed it. 1/ #spain #history
