Unlike in Italy or Germany, when fascism ended, Spain largely acted as if the horrors of the dictator never happened. I’m going to Madrid for Gata Sports Tours for the Nations Cup final of Spain (women) vs Germany. Train prices are so high lately, often not below €80 one-way the cheapest if trip is within a couple weeks. So I am flying on way there. Anyway, at BCN, for 1st time I’ve seen, they are asking to see your boarding pass to even enter airport. Wonder if there’s been some security threat? They’re not checking that closely, though, as I realized I showed my Iberia loyalty card instead of boarding pass 😂
