I'm going down a youtube rabbit hole watching #AnikaNilles videos. #Rush is going back on tour and she's going to be the #drummer. She's just so amazing. She was drumming for Jeff Beck when the Rush guys heard about her. She's just off the charts.
One thing that stands out to me is how relaxed she is #drumming even when she's doing incredibly fast stuff. No straining. It doesn't even look like she's breathing hard. I am out of breath just watching her.

You know what's really interesting? Despite so many public departments being on Xitter and not on mastodon, I got some REALLY good real-time information about that #earthquake. It confirms, for me anyway, that the #fediverse can fill that sort of role. Though, frankly, more government departments need to get on the fediverse...
